How to Manage Your Anger
By Bryan Appleton
Many people do have a problem with managing their anger. And many people are unaware at just how much this can lead to them losing what they love in their life and also how this can act as a block to getting what they want.
First of all, why is there all of this anger?
Many people become angry as a way to mask their more vulnerable emotions. Emotions like sadness and disappointment can easily be masked as anger. I mean, who has not gotten angry for at least a minute when something they were really looking forward to does not happen. Let's say you were looking forward to a new job and at the last minute it falls through. You are going to feel angry.
It's okay to feel that anger but allowing it to really take a hold of you is not okay. It will not serve you, it will defeat you. There are bars full of people with broken dreams and lots of anger. So, you can easily take one look and see that anger is not something you want to live your life with at all times.
Use that anger to really create something new instead. If something falls through and you feel disappointed, take the time to plan something else to replace that disappointment. Or, stop to realize what you have that is still okay with your life and realize that you may lose all of that if you do not control your anger.
Controlling your emotions is key to not only getting what you want out of your life, but also making sure that these things stay in your life!
